What it does: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A collection of practical 3D and section-based tools for BricsCAD, derived from KeyTERRA-FIRMA technology. KTF MiniTools focuses on quick, easy-to-use functions for: - Creating and inspecting sections from drawing geometry - Working with 3D polylines and gradients - Performing simple design adjustments from sections - Everyday light civil/survey CAD tasks Tools can be accessed via Ribbon tab, Toolbar or Menu dropdown. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. System Requirements: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i. Microsoft Windows ii. BricsCAD V26 (Pro or higher) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. How to install: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i. Extract the zip file, so all the files/subfolder are in the same Windows directory (e.g. Windows "Documents" folder). ii. If applicable. In BricsCAD, command CUIUNLOAD the old KTF_MiniTools menu/ribbon, then restart BricsCAD. iii. In BricsCAD, command CUILOAD the file "KTF_MiniTools.cui" into BricsCAD. The first time you use the plug-in, a dialog will ask you to click a "Request a licence" button before you can use (most of) the tools. It gives you a request code which needs to be emailed back to us, so we can generate your license key. You can also select a 30-day trial option if you have not tried it already. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Main Tools Overview: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3D Tools: - Manual Gradient: Create a 3D polyline between points with a defined gradient. - Gradient to Target Line: Create graded connections from 3D geometry to a target line. - Curve fit 3D Polyline: Smooth or fit curves to existing 3D polylines. - Lowest Vertex: Identify and mark the lowest point on a 3D polyline. - Chainage & Offset: Query chainage and offset from a selected centreline. Section Tools: - Section from 3D Polyline: Generate a section directly from a 3D polyline. - Section from Picked Points: Create a section from selected 3D points. - Section from Crossing 3D Polylines: Generate sections using intersecting geometry. - Section from Projected 3D Polylines: Create sections from nearby projected geometry. - Inspect Section: Annotate level, chainage and gradient within a section. - Mini Design: Apply simple design changes from a section back into 3D. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.
